The abundance in National parks and wild life sanctuaries makes Kerala the home of many creatures. The major wild life sanctuaries of Kerala are Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, and Silent Valley National Park.
